Business management software for trades and field service businesses
Colony gives a trade or field service business one place for the enquiry, the quote, the booking, the job on site and the invoice, so nothing is retyped between them.
The problem
Work arrives by phone, message and website form. The quote lives in a document, the diary in another app, the job notes in someone's head, and the invoice gets written days later. Jobs slip, materials go unbilled, and chasing payment is a separate chore.
How Colony helps
Enquiries become leads
A message from your website, a form or a call becomes a lead. If they are already a customer, it lands on their record.
Quote from your own price list
Send a quote built from the prices you have set. The AI helper can draft it, but it only uses your prices and asks you to confirm.
Booking with approval
Share a booking link with rules, and choose to approve each request before it is confirmed. Approved bookings can become jobs, with the customer told by email, WhatsApp or both.
Jobs on site (beta)
Stages, visits for several people, timers, materials, quoted against actual, and a phone view for the day. Jobs is in beta.
Invoice and get paid
An invoice built from the real work, a Pay now button so customers can pay by link, and automatic reminders.
Tools for your trade
Build calculators for the sums you do on every quote.

What it looks like in practice
A realistic week for a small electrical contractor:
- Monday: an enquiry arrives. A homeowner uses the contact form on the company's site. It appears as a lead, and the office replies from the inbox.
- Tuesday: quote and booking. The office sends a quote from the price list and a booking link for the site visit. The customer picks a slot and the office approves it.
- Thursday: the job. The approved booking becomes a job. The electrician opens the day on a phone, starts a timer, logs the materials used and gets a signature.
- Friday: paid. The invoice is built from the real work. The customer pays by link, and a receipt goes out.
